About
Thankfully, stethoscopes and tongue depressors are the only medical devices most children ever need. However, those unfortunate enough to require more invasive care are left with few good options. While researchers continuously innovate in the field, they often lack the resources and expertise to commercialize new devices themselves. Manufacturers are unable to justify pediatric projects due to the small market size. As a result, children fail to benefit from the latest advancements in medicine and suffer unnecessarily. Structured as a platform for the rapid development of new pediatric medical devices, PediaWorks' mission is to procure as many clinically-useful products as its resources will allow by leveraging a broad range of clinical, industry and academic collaborators. In 2010, PediaWorks formed PediaVascular with joint venture partner, Medikit, to develop specialty catheters. See more detail by clicking here.
