Process

Since very little information exists on pediatric device needs, the PediaWorks process begins by conducting broad surveys of pediatric clinicians.  Questions are structured to highlight device limitations to delivering quality care and to define attributes of an ideal solution.  PediaWorks’ advisors then help to identify potential device concepts and force rank them based on potential clinical impact and required commercialization resources.  Once the advisors approve an idea, PediaWorks manages the development through a network of corporate partners, research institutions and contract engineering firms.
